Yes, tame tokay geckos do get aggressive when mating, it's best to make sure that the tokay geckos are in a somewhat calm state before attempting to breed them. You're going to want to observe the process as well to make sure that things don't get out of hand. Male tokay geckos are known to bite at female tokay geckos during the mating process and they can sustain some injuries.
