One trick to handling a tokay gecko is to wear a handling gloves, this ensures your safety and eventually your tokay gecko will get a little more docile after some handling sessions. You have to make sure however that you are doing it on a consistent basis. A tokay gecko probably won't be like a crested gecko even after you do some consistent handling. They are just naturally more aggressive and you should be aware of that.
