Yes, desert Iguanas are mildly poisonous they have venom glands that will produce venom, albeit harmless to humans venom. I would be more worried about their razor sharp teeth as that can really do some damage if you aren't careful. It's that and their tail. Their tails can be used to whip potential predators.
