Yes, the Mojave desert does have giant desert hairy scorpions. They are found throughout the American southwest, this includes western Arizona, California, Utah and Nevada. They inhabit the Mojave and Sonoran deserts. The sting of a giant hairy desert scorpion isn't too bad though, their sting is kind of like getting stung by a bee.
