Some interesting facts about western banded geckos is that they hide for most of the day underground, they are highly secretive geckos and will only come out at night most days. Western banded geckos like most geckos have evolved to drop their tails when they feel threatened. They can curl their tail over their bodies to mimic a scorpion to scare off some predators as well.
