Both wouldn't be good pets due to how deadly they are, the crocodile monitor reaches a size that is much larger than a Komodo dragon, the Komodo dragon is also highly venomous and if you are bitten by one you should immediately seek medical attention, the bite can cause paralysis and extreme pain. A crocodile monitor is venomous but not lethal like Komodo dragons. (Source)
