An easy way to tell if a reptile tank is water safe is to look at the manufacturer's label and if it says that it's water proof then it is. You can also look at the bottom and look to see if the seal is tight or not. You can then test it with a tiny bit of water and see if it holds the water or not. Hope this helps!
