Yes, you are able to start cross breeding tarantulas if you want to, they aren't the easiest pets to cross breed, however cross breeding tarantulas is somewhat frowned upon in the tarantula keeping hobby, due to the offspring having some sort of genetic deficiency. Sometimes when you cross breed tarantulas it doesn't work out too well.
