Signals that will tell you your sugar glider is depressed are as follows:

  • Weight loss
  • Refusal to eat
  • Self mutilation

Sugar gliders don't do well alone, they should be kept in pairs, if you see any of these signs you should immediately take action to prevent further damage from occurring, one simple solution would be to get another sugar glider if that's what's causing the depression. Improper care can also cause your sugar glider to be depressed, so be sure to do good research on their care needs.
