No, sugar gliders can't fly, but rather they glide which is a little different than flying. They can jump off of high elevations and glide to the ground or to another thing to grab onto. In the wild they go and jump off of trees and glide to other areas that they want to go to. They are pretty much like squirrels that fly and are friendly. (source)
