To take care of sugar gliders, there's a few things you should definitely keep track of and make sure that are right. Here are the main categories:

Diet: sugar gliders are omnivores and are best fed fruits and vegetables as well as some insects. 75% should be a mix of fruits and vegetables and the 25% should be protein. An unbalanced diet can lead to health issues later on down the road.

Water: You should 100% provide a water dish to sugar gliders, you can do this by offering a water dish as well as a water bottle. You should only use filtered water.

Housing: sugar gliders should be kept inside of a cage that is 2 ft by 2 ft by 3 ft at a minimum. You can use vinyl or a coated wire cage to keep them inside. 

Cleaning: sugar gliders are best kept inside clean cages, you should clean your sugar glider's cage at least every 2-3 days.

Social: sugar gliders should be housed with a normal family of other sugar gliders and given attention for at least 2 hours per day.
