No, sugar gliders aren't legal in California, they are one of the three states that have banned the ownership of sugar gliders, the other two are Hawaii and Alaska. In other states, you are allowed to own them, but you may need to have a permit to do so. Sugar gliders are generally really cool pets to have, they're easy to take care of and are pretty inexpensive to maintain.
