A blue tongue skink really isn't too hard to care for, they are pretty docile and beginner friendly reptiles. All you need is a 40 gallon tank for them to stay in along with some decorations and such. They last for around 20 years and aren't too much of a hassle to take care of. They are great to interact with and are pretty fun creatures.
