Crested geckos change color, and they do so pretty often. They do so when they are stressed out, hunting, shedding or are trying to camouflage themselves and hide from predators. Usually after a night misting session it's quite common for crested geckos to go out and get fired up because that sometimes triggers them to go and hunt.
