Goldfish eggs look like these little yellow, dots that float to the surface, in a pond they usually float to the shoreline or at the base of plants that stick outside of the water. They're pretty easy to identify, but easy to miss if you aren't looking for them. Hopefully this helps you, good luck with the new goldfish!
