You should have at least 20 gallons of water and tank space per one goldfish. Adult fancy goldfish should have 10 gallons of water and tank space per fish. The space that your goldfish has is important for them to feel free and not squished. You should also make sure that there are plants and other hides for your goldfish to stay inside.
