Yes, goldfish are able to live in cold water, the ideal temperature for goldfish should fall somewhere between 68-74 degrees Fahrenheit. As long as the water isn't absolutely freezing and its a gradual change as opposed to an abrupt change, the goldfish should be fine because they will usually swim to the bottom and stop moving during cold water temperatures.
