There's a lot of good bottom feeder fish that you can purchase, they really do a good job cleaning up any excess food/waste. Any sort of pleco tends to do a great job, Catfish are also great choices for bottom feeder fish. Essentially any type of fish that swims near the bottom and eats near the bottom that isn't too aggressive is a good choice. (Source)
