If your crested gecko sits on top of the cage you don't have to worry because this is a pretty normal activity for them, they are arboreal lizards and love to climb around and be up high whenever they can. As long as they aren't always on top of the cage. upside down you don't have to worry.

If they are, then you should encourage them to get down because over time it can lead to floppy-tail syndrome, that's only if they do it consistently.
