A corn snake or crested gecko preference depends on the person you ask, some people really like corn snakes and don't like geckos at all and vice versa. They both have pretty easy care, I would give the edge to corn snakes because they don't require daily misting. Corn snakes also only eat one pinky mouse per week as opposed to a powdered diet and calcium dusted insects that crested geckos eat. A corn snake is easier to feed and care for, but that doesn't necessarily make them good pets.

They are both excellent beginner reptile pets, so really the question is what do you like more snakes or geckos?
