Crested geckos are omnivores not carnivores, they eat both plants and animals. They are also somewhat frugivorous as well because they eat fruit also. In captivity, it's best to feed crested geckos a powdered food mix such as Pangea or Repashy as well as calcium dusted insects and an occasional fruit as a snack. (Source)
