Yes, blue tongue skinks do burrow, they do so to seek shelter and also so that they can find food. They burrow in captivity as well as in the wild. During cold whether, blue tongue skinks burrow and hide in order to protect themselves from the winter, they also enter a state of brumation which is essentially just hibernation.
