Yes, basil is safe for blue tongue skinks, they are a great vegetable to feed to your skink because they contain a high level of vitamin A as well as lots of calcium, both ingredients are very important to feed to blue tongue skinks. Basil is also appetizing to blue tongue skinks as well, many people who have picky/choosy blue tongue skinks have had great success feeding basil to their skinks. (Source)
