Yes, blue tongue skink bites can hurt, their teeth really aren't sharp, so when they bite you it's more like a crushing sensation than a puncturing one. Odds are you'll have a bruise after you are bitten as opposed to a punctured wound. In general blue tongue skinks are docile and will give off multiple warnings before they bite you such as hissing, tongue flicking and defensive body language. (Source)
