A blue tongue skink's temperament is pretty docile, non-aggressive and calm. They will normally hiss at you and puff up their bodies whenever they feel threatened by you or anyone else, they will also stick out their tongues. They can also drop their tail if need be, the good news is they can regrow it.

You can provide them with hides and other decorations so that if they do feel stressed out they can go in and take shelter, that may help with their temperament in the long run. 

Taking good care of them works wonders, hope this helps! 😄
