No, tarantulas don't spin webs, instead they create silk, this is used for a variety of different reasons which includes:

  • Trapdoors
  • Sticky surfaces
  • Trip wires
  • Burrows

Tarantulas pounce on their prey and ambush attack it, they don't use their silk to spin webs to catch their prey.
