Somewhat, tarantulas don't know how to like humans, they simply exist and are fed by humans. They are incapable of forming social bonds with us, they prefer to be left alone and not in the company of anyone or anything else, it's in their nature to act like that. They don't have emotions and are pretty independent creatures. (Source)
