Tarantulas will drink water by going up to their water dish inside of their enclosures, then they will walk into the water dish and drink the water, they do this by sipping it with their mouths which are behind their fangs. Tarantulas do in fact drink water through the dish, they also receive a tiny bit of water through their food. (Source)
