No, you can't defang a tarantula because they will always grow their fangs back, tarantulas also need their fangs in order to eat effectively and without them they won't be able to consume food which is essential to their survival. Within the tarantula keeping hobby it is pretty frowned upon to remove their fangs because it goes against their natural biology. (Source)
