You can't really know the age of a ball python solely based off of how much they weigh and how long they are, it's better to pay attention to the muscle density and the skin tone, elasticity as well as the wrinkles they may have, these could give you an idea for how old a ball python is, but not an exact number.

If you buy a ball python through PetSmart or Petco, chances are the snake is at least a year old. If it's a hatchling (7 weeks) you'll know because they'll be very small.
