Yes, ball pythons can get too hot, they shouldn't be exposed to temperatures that are above 95 degrees for extended periods of time, note that the hot side of their enclosure doesn't count, only the overall temperature of their enclosure.

If the enclosure is just hot and doesn't have both a hot side and a cool side, then you are risking our ball pythons life.
