Yes, ball pythons will bite when they feel threatened, stressed or think that your fingers are prey. These are the most common reasons for why ball pythons bite, their bites really aren't too gnarly though, they don't have fangs with venom and they will usually let go of you after some time, so there's that.

Generally, the bite that you receive will be somewhat painless and you won't really be in any real danger in the case that it happens.
