Yes, 16% protein is good for pet mice, they do need a significant amount of protein to remain healthy, and 16% is an acceptable level. You never want the percentage to be around 25% because then that can cause your mice some health issues. You can find the protein level by reading the back of the pelleted diet bag that you buy for your mice. (Source)
