To clean a reptile tank with vinegar, you first should put it into a spray bottle then spray the enclosure with it, after a while you can wipe the vinegar off with a washcloth and the tank will be free of any water marks or poop smears. It's good for getting rid of marks on the enclosure, but not as good at getting rid of bacteria/viruses. For that you should look into getting a reptile safe tank sprayer.
