Crested geckos are more beginner friendly reptiles due to how easy they are to care for, they don't require UVB or live insects, they instead eat a powdered mix such as Repashy or Pangea. Bearded dragons require live insects, vegetables and fruits a more extensive and expensive diet. They also require UVB to be healthy and a much larger enclosure than crested geckos.

Crested geckos are good reptiles for beginners while bearded dragons are good for intermediate reptile hobbyists.
