Are ball pythons overrated? They are everywhere in the reptile keeping hobby, are there any better pet snakes available?

YES, because they are owned by literally everyone

NO, because they are really easy to care for, docile snakes

I can kind of see from your point of view, why would pythons being owned by everyone make them worse off than any other snake?

No, they're not overrated, they've got really cool morphs and they are amazing pets

Pythons are kind of overrated, there are better snakes like corn snakes for sure!

@John447 They're just not as unique as some other snakes which in my opinion subtracts from their exclusivity, they aren't bad snakes they're just owned by literally everyone.

King snakes and corn snakes are some other snakes that are not as prevalent/overly kept by people...

Pythons make good pets, I like corn snakes more though and they're better for beginners 100%
