Yes, hamsters can eat gerbil food, it shares similar levels of nutrition and the food is practically the same with some minor food differences, the big difference is that the branding is different, one is for gerbils and the other is for hamsters. In the long term though, I would recommend going for actual hamster food because you know the manufacturer has intended the food specifically for hamsters and not gerbils.
