Yes, hamsters can eat apples in moderation, apples should be fed in small pieces and fed in combination with a multitude of different fruits, vegetables, seeds and hamster pellets. You should make sure to rinse off your apples too before you feed them to hamsters as they may contain certain pesticides that are not good for them to eat. Apples contain high sugar and water levels, so it's best to not overdue it. (Source)
