Yes, it is legal to own venomous reptiles if your state allows it, most states require that you posses a venomous reptile permit before you can own one. Florida is one of those states. It's good to do your research before you get a venomous reptile though so you know what you're up against. It's good to have lots of experience keeping a variety of different reptiles before you get a venomous one that could potentially do harm to you or someone you love.
