Can you keep a common box turtle in Missouri?

The Missouri department of conservation has protected the common box turtle from being collected and sold as pets. You can still own one as long as you didn't acquire it from the wild in Missouri.

 

Some states have a limit to how many you can have, I know in Florida you can only have 2 box turtles.
