Yes, newts do eat waxworms, they are good food options for newts, salamanders, frogs and just about any other amphibian. The waxworm contains many good vitamins, minerals and amino acids that will make your newt or any other amphibian/reptile healthier. It's good to dust the waxworms with calcium to ensure they have great calcium intake as well.
