If a chinchilla gets wet and is not dried off, then your chinchilla can get sick. fungi can start growing along with bacteria and viruses which all contribute to skin infections. Not fun, it's best to prevent that from happening because it's so easy to prevent and it's not fun taking your chinchilla to the exotic pet veterinarian.
