No, neon tetras are not injected with dye, neon tetras are naturally colored the way they are and neon tetras are not artificially colored in any way. Neon tetras have a unique color that was passed down over the generations of other neon tetras to gain them their beautiful colors. This is no different from other genetics that us humans have, things like height, eye color, skin color etc.
